Rudi–Arionești Gorge

Located in Dondușeni District, near Rudi Monastery, the Rudi–Arionești Gorge is one of the most spectacular natural formations in Moldova. Part of the Rudi–Arionești Landscape Reserve, the gorge impresses with its steep cliffs, ancient forests, and breathtaking panoramas.

Millions of years ago, these rocks were the seabed of an ancient sea. Today, they shape a fairytale landscape—perfect for hiking, photography, and quiet reflection.

The gorge also features “Piatra Țiganului” (The Gypsy’s Rock), a massive limestone boulder tied to local legends, and a scenic viewpoint known as “Stânca Răutului” (Răut Cliff), offering panoramic views of the surroundings.
